So cold this morning...

I dread the thoughts of another winter.

But living in Canada, it's inevitable and we'll just have to hunker down and get through it.

But that also means it's time to do lots of crochet, which I don't mind at all.

This summer saw five months of yard work and I really was getting a little fed up with that.  I keep trying to fight the weeds, but, alas, they seemed to be winning.

But, bonus, the snow will soon be flying and hide all the weeds I missed.

And, speaking of crocheting, you can still find me on Ebay and I have a whole lot of listings on Ecrater.

With all the new kinds and colors of yarn, I can hardly wait to get some more new ones done and listed.

And pompoms are the new look...they're everywhere!  I especially like the fur poms.

Moving Day!!!

I have been on Etsy for many years, but it has come time to part our ways.
I've been unhappy with their selling venue for several years and their last fiasco became just too much.
They are constantly changing one thing or another, of which many of the changes did not make it better, and now they are being very high-handed and dictatorial with their payment plan.
They have not instilled any trust for me to allow them to involve themselves in my finances, but, if you don't accept their payment method, you are "out"!
I choose out!!
So, I've decided to move all my business to Ecrater, a very easy site to navigate, and, I'm hoping, will work much better for me.
So, if you would like to see my store, you can reach me at www.prettypelican.ecrater.com
Hope to see you soon.

And here it is, another Christmas season!

I'm not ready for it but it will come and go and everything will be back to normal.
It just doesn't seem the same when my family is all grown up with families of their own.
I spend a lot of time thinking back to when they were little with all the excitement waiting for Santa Claus, all the baking and shopping and trying to keep everything secret.
But they're good memories and, I hope, just as good for them.
I've been keeping busy this fall with lots of crocheting; not listing so much at the Etsy or Ebay stores but selling locally through Facebook has kept me busy enough.
This link will take you to my facebook page for some of  my new projects.

And here is my latest....

I did find some time, after all; I knew I would!

And, after listing this one today, I have fabric sitting waiting for me for the next one.

I think this one is so pretty, don't you?

Black and pink are so feminine and pretty, and there's loads and loads of black lace.

As usual, you can purchase this at http://www.prettypelican.etsy.com

Don't you love juggling a dozen jobs at once?

I'm almost in a state of panic these last few months...too many jobs and trying to juggle them all.

I'm trying to downsize and clean out my house of all the unnecessary 'stuff', like furniture all the way down to clothes that I'm never going to wear again.

Also trying to get rid of all my porcelain doll molds so have to itemize and make up a list of what I have in that department, no small job when they're mixed in with the ceramic molds.  That means sorting as I go.

And now that it's summer there's all that yard work to keep up with.  Between keeping the lawn cut and cleaning out the weeds in the flower beds, I'm definitely falling behind in that job, for sure.

Let us not forget a favorite....house cleaning and keeping it tidy, ugh!  And grocery shopping here and there.

Now where am I going to fit in my sewing???   Something's going to have to give 'cause I'm not going to give up my sewing, that's for sure!

And speaking of sewing, I have a new project just about finished, possibly can list it tomorrow.  Just have to press it all up nice and crisp and add the bow.

So pleased with my new addition!

I just love this new apron; the lime green is so pretty with the black, just stunning!

I so enjoy sewing these and I have another in the works with several ideas floating around in my head for the future.

Finished and ready-to-ship retro apron; wear with a pretty bra (or au natural) or try it with leggings and a tube top!

Black w/white polka dots and black and lime green skirts, coordinating white trim on the hems, white lace and ricrac and black satin bow makes this a stunning fashion statement.

Bib is fully lined and every seam is enclosed for durability; full circle skirt can be worn with or without a tulle petticoat.

Bow on bodice is pinned so it may be easily removed before laundering.

Size Medium.

The waist ties will fit waist size 26" or more and are long enough to tie in front.

Skirt length 15".

This apron is machine washable in cold water like a delicate piece of lingerie and goes in the dryer set on a cool cycle.

Unforgettable gift for any occasion!

If you would like to own this pretty apron, it's available at http://www.prettypelican.etsy.com

Work! Work! Work! That's All i Do....

but not at the things I like to do!

Bummer!

I want to make my aprons in the worst way but everything is always getting in the way!

I have some new fabrics waiting, my patterns are all ready and I have no time to do anything with them!

One of these days, grrrr!
